Analysis and Modelling of Work-Related Stress Determinants in Cross-Cultural Context
Jekaterina S. Babichenko, Svetlana I. Babichenko
ABSTRACT. This study is concerned with the analysis of work-related stress determinants and their comparison in cross-cultural context, using different modeling methodologies. The objective of the current paper is to determine the system of work-related stress determinants and test their significance in two cases: a) in general context and b) incorporating cultural factor. Specific question is the choice of adequate data modeling method, taking into account the limitations emanating from semi-qualitative data characteristics. To implement the research task two methods for data modeling were chosen: Bayesian classification technique and ordered regressions with different link functions tested. The analysis was conducted in five countries, chosen to represent different cultural clusters: Great Britain, USA, Russian Federation, Japan and Germany.
