  • How to deal with transition processes towards sustainable development, in particular in CEE and Central Asian countries, with a focus on different approaches to and effects of institutional change depending on the strengths or weaknesses of institutions and the existence or lack of good governance.
  • The role of different stakeholders (companies, individuals, NGOs, etc.) in achieving sustainable development.
  • Progress and regression in economic, political and social developments from a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective.
  • Different approaches to achieving sustainable development.
  • The importance and role of education, science and technological development for achieving sustainable development.
