Vilmantė Kumpikaitė: , PhD, Assoc. Professor at the Department of Management of Faculty of Economics and Management at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). She received her MA in 1999 and her PhD degree from Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) in Social Sciences (Management and Administration, 03S) in 2004. The major fields of scientific research are: human resource management; human resource development; human resource development evaluation; cross-national human resource development; distance education and labour economics. She was as staff exchange professor at Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia, and at Athens University of Business and Management in Greece. She is the author of over 40 scientific publications in the form of articles and conference proceedings on human resource management, training and development and its evaluation, organisational learning, distance education and globalisation.
