About Author
- Bruno S. Sergi
- obtained his MSc and MPhil from the University of London and his PhD from the University of Greenwich Business School. He is currently teaching International Economics at the University of Messina and is also involved in coordinating two economic networks: the Southeast Europe Trade Union Economic Experts’ Network and the Eastern Europe Trade Union Economic Experts’ Network, both active at the Pan-European Regional Council of the International Trade Union Confederation. Additionally, he is a Principal Research Fellow & member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for EMEA Banking, Finance and Economics at the London Metropolitan Business School, and an Honorary Fellow of the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Sergi has acted as Adjunct Professor, Researcher and Visiting Researcher at several institutions, including New York University, the IMF, CERC-University of Melbourne, Latvian University, Prague International Business School, City University – Bratislava, ISM University of Management and Economics (Vilnius, Lithuania), the University „Aleksandër Moisiu” – Durres, several central banks in Europe, and the European Trade Union Institute in Brussels. He has authored, co-authored and co-edited several books on transition economics and global business and his articles appeared in quality international journals. His primary research interests are international economics and transition economics (Russia and the Balkans) and European economic integration. He is the founder and Editor-In-Chief of International Journal of Trade and Global Markets; International Journal of Economic Policy in Emerging Economies and International Journal of Monetary Economics and Finance.
