Factors Determining Decision about Setting up a Firm – The Survey Results from Poland

ABSTRACT. The article has theoretical and empirical stages. It analyzes the effect that selected factors have on one’s decision about setting up his/her firm. The first part of the paper presents the relationship among remuneration, qualification and spatial mobility as well as willingness to start a business. The analysis of these issues was a basis for empirical research into the aforementioned dependence. The survey was conducted among a representative group of respondents in Poland, esp. in Western Pomeranian Region.
