The Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Organisational Commitment: a Study from Romania
Georgiana Florentina Grigore, Sara Abdaless, Yue Meng-Lewis

ABSTRACT. The paper explores the impact of corporate social responsibility on employees' organisational commitment in the case of Romania. In reaching this goal and starting from a similar study conducted in Turkey (Turker, 2008), we propose three hierarchical regression models based on data collected through an online survey and based on a sample of 245 employees. Six hypotheses were elaborated and tested. The results show that corporate social responsibility towards employees and customers have a great impact on organisational commitment. This is important not only from an organisational point of view, but also to identify ways in which employees can become more committed, motivated and productive through corporate social responsibility.

KEYWORDS: corporate social responsibility, employees, organisational commitment, Romania.
