BEHAVIOUR DISPLAYED BY POLISH CONSUMERS IN THEIR LEISURE TIME IN THE LIGHT OF RECENT RESEARCH

ABSTRACT. Behaviour currently displayed by consumers confirms they place an emphasis on the quality of life, depart from the style based chiefly on material standards of living, improve economic situation of their households, pay attention to working conditions, social security, decent housing, natural environment, health and social environment, and at the same time value their leisure time. Therefore, taken market behaviour exhibited by consumers into consideration, not only financial means but also time they have at their disposal play a crucial role. Time budget to be planned by every economic subject may be divided into two main parts, namely labour time that may also be devoted to learning, and disposable time, also referred to as time "off work".The article analyzes consumer behaviour and attaches major importance to ways of spending leisure time. It is aimed at identifying forms preferred by the Polish consumers and describing groups of consumers who display specific behaviour in their free time.
