CRADLE TO CRADLE: A STEP FURTHER FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN TOURISM
Stefania Bodosca, Dalia Streimikiene
ABSTRACT. In this article, the concept of Cradle to Cradle is explored. It can be seen that the evolution of the concept of sustainable tourism and its spread, over the years, more than two decades, has reached such a level of impact that its weigh tin making decision by the political leaders shows how much the conservation of the environment and the balance between society and economy means. However, many positive factors come from the activities in tourism, such as employment, production of income that further generates a more positive economic situation, reviving local culture, and the negative effects cannot be overlooked. The need to embrace the awareness of a worldwide ecology with intrinsic value is no longer debatable. Sustainable design brings solutions that are environmentally sensitive and responsible .
