Jacek Batog,: His main research areas are related to quantitative methods and its applications, classification methods, economic growth and income convergence, outliers detection, economic and financial situation assessment and credit risk measurement and management. During his research activity, he has been awarded among others with a scholarship of Foundation of Polish Science and granted with the foreign scholarships and internships in the United States, Great Britain and Ireland. He is as well the author or co-author of more than 1200 articles and books and has participated in almost 90 scientific and business conferences related to theory and applications of quantitative methods. Apart from the scientific work, he has gained practical experience by working in one of the biggest Polish commercial bank in the Department of Credit Risk Assessment, taking part in the Investment Council of Mutual Found "JEREMIE", one of the biggest local government's investment project in West Pomeranian region, participating in Programme of Common Privatization as well as providing many feasibility studies, expertise and development strategies for local governments and enterprises. He is a member of the Polish Statistical Association, International Federation of Classification Societies and Editorial Board of the journal Folia Oeconomica Stetinensiahy.
