Rui Jiao, Gaosong Zhao, Fei Wang

ABSTRACT. Logistics service standardization is an important component of supply-side structural reform strategy in China, aiming to effectively improve the supply side, reduce transaction costs, and achieve economic vitality. To explore the policy effect of the logistics service standardization strategy, using the pilot reform of logistics service standardization as a quasi-natural test and the data of China's A-share listed companies from 2012 to 2017, the influences of logistics service standardization on the operational efficiency, enterprise performance and investment activities of micro-enterprises were explored. Results show that logistics service standardization improves the operational efficiency of enterprises, which is particularly important for manufacturing enterprises, labour-intensive enterprises, and regions with high degrees of marketization. At the same time, logistics service standardization positively moderates the relationship between operational efficiency and enterprise performance and between operational efficiency and enterprise investment. The implementation of logistics service standardization promotes the positive influence of operational efficiency on the performance and investment of enterprises. The conclusions can provide the relevant government departments with reference to further improve logistics service standardization according to the actual situation and aid enterprises in actively introducing and implementing logistics service standardization.
