Prof., director and the chief research fellow of the Institute of Sustainable Construction at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania. PhD in Building Structures (1973). Dr. Sc in Building Technology and Management (1987). A member of Lithuanian and several foreign Academies of Sciences. Doctore Honoris Causa from Poznan, Saint Petersburg and Kiev universities. Honorary International Chair Professor of the National Taipei University of Technology. He is the author and co-author of a number of monographs in Lithuanian, English, German, and Russian; He has published more than 500 papers in journals such as Omega, EJOR, ESwA, Applied Soft Computing, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Automation in Construction, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy and Buildings, Applied Mathematical Modelling and others.
